Ruth Williams

With dual degrees in Landscape Architecture and Urban Forestry, Ruth brings a design perspective to every project. She has experience in urban forest master planning, community engagement, tree preservation in construction, and tree appraisal. She spent five years traveling throughout the US and Canada collecting tree inventory data and writing comprehensive management plans for small towns and homeowners associations. She loves collaborating with clients to build species lists that emphasize resilient trees to fit individual site constraints. Volunteer roles include Hoyt Arboretum botanical illustration instructor, and River Hugger lead safety kayaker. Ruth believes in helping clients leverage their tree resources to create and maintain beautiful, functional landscapes.

Damon Schrosk

Damon’s professional experience spans 28 years in biology, ecology and arboriculture. He started Treecology Consulting Group after two decades of climbing and leading pruning crews. His formal training in tree risk and disease diagnosis, along with practical experience with thousands of tree failures allows Damon to thoroughly assess tree condition and evaluate risk. This experience also informs his tree preservation strategies for sites under construction. His wildlife and ecology background allows him to see opportunities for retaining and enhancing wildlife habitat provided by our urban forests. Damon enjoys sharing his love of trees with students and colleagues as an instructor and presenter. Volunteer roles include Urban Forestry Commissioner for the City of Portland, Friends of trees Pruning Crew Lead Trainer, Arborist volunteer for Hoyt Arboretum, and many years of sports and Scouting leadership with his sons. Damon believes that ecological implications should be at the forefront of our decision-making process.

Andrea Schrosk

Andrea keeps our team’s financial and administrative operations running smoothly. She brings 25 years of small and large business administration experience to TCG. Volunteer roles have included years of youth soccer coaching and numerous board positions with several local non profit groups. Andrea believes the key to business success is solving problems with integrity, efficiency, and creativity.
